Vintage skirt

*Hand pleated
This skirt was very easy to make. It's definitely a piece you can dress up or down. You can wear the bow in the front & long or in the back & short...In summary, I'd say this is an easy-to-make and a versatile skirt.
shorts w/matching tote
I made these shorts this summer for my friend. She is modeling the shorts and the bag. To add my personal flair to these patterns, I embroidered on the shorts and added the iron on "S" for her initial plus some edging to the tote bag.

matching lounge wear
This tank and shorts combo was made with cotton knit fabric. It's super comfy and cozy! I used Simplicity for the shirt and a separate pattern from online for the shorts called "Easy Summer Shorts." I figure you can also wear the shirt as a casual tank with going-out outfits, too. (Pictured on the left)

CLOUDS
Apron dress
This was such a fun dress to make! I enjoyed working with such a busy and bright pattern. Excited to flaunt this one around...winter or summer, spring or fall!

SHARPAY
"I WANT IT ALL" COSTUME
I went to a Disney Channel RAVE a few weeks ago and decided to go all out as Sharpay Evans in "I Want it All" and participate in the costume contest. I ended up winning the contest and kept getting compliments on my costume all night!

I already had the white leotard (ah, my ballet days...). So, that was easy. The most work I put in was on the tassels that I eventually sewed onto the leotard. For those, I hot-glued a string of little pearls around silver trim, ala double helix, and then tacked them each down on the leotard. I then went ahead and painted the leotard sparkly silver with fabric paint, got myself a wig, and sewed on two tails off the back of a white jacked I already had. It took about 2 days to put together and it was so much fun to work on!
